Scott Logan, Owner/Operator, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Life Insurance Agent
Scott is the owner and operator of Logan Funeral Home. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he continues the family business as the 3rd generation owner. He graduated from Gilmer High School, Class of 1966, A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Class of 1970 with a Degree in Industrial Management and minors in Statistics and Labor Economics and a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Class of 1972. He has one daughter and one grandchild. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, Oak Bowery Lodge #81 F&AM of Ellijay, Ellijay Lion's Club, Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce and Gilmer Art's and Heritage Association.
Brian Nealey, Manager, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Life Insurance Agent
Brian is a life long resident of Gilmer County. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1999. A graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, Class of 2001. He, his wife and daughter reside in the Boardtown Community in Ellijay. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, Oak Bowery Lodge #81 F&AM of Ellijay, Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce and the Ellijay Lion's Club.
Michael Smith, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Ordained Baptist Minister
Michael is a Graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 2003, a graduate of Jefferson State Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science, Class of 2012. He and his wife reside in the Cartecay Community in Ellijay. He is an Ordained Baptist Minister and a member of the River Hill Baptist Church and the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce.
Sue Thurman, Funeral Home Secretary
Sue is a native of Gilmer county. She is a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1964. She and her husband reside in the Boardtown community in Ellijay. She has two children and three grandchildren. She is a member of the New Hope Baptist Church here in Ellijay.
Peggy Edmondson, Administrative Assistant
Peggy is a native of Atlanta, GA. She was a graduate of Sequoyah High School, Class of 1970. She retired with 3M company in 2004. She has two children and one grandchild. She and her husband reside in the Cartecay community in Ellijay. She is a member of the Pisgah Church of Christ and the Ellijay Lion's Club.
Jim Bradley, Licensed Funeral Service Apprentice, Ordained Baptist Minister
Jim is a native of Minneapolis, MN. A graduate of Clarion High School in Clarion, IA, Class of 1950. He attended various colleges such as American River Junior College, University of Nebraska, Allen Hancock College. Graduate of Baptist College of Florida and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary Graduate School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He has three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He and his wife reside in the Coosawattee community in Ellijay. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, The American Legion, U.S. Golf Association, Ellijay Lion's Club, Chaplain of the local Civil Air Patrol 507th Composite Squadron, North Georgia Honor Guard and life member of the Air Force Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jim Ragsdale, Funeral Professional
Jim is a native of Lithonia, GA. A graduate of Lithonia High School, Class of 1952. He attended Bruneau University in Gwinnett County. He and his wife reside in the Clear Creek community in Ellijay. Jim has two children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, The Georgia Knife Maker's Guild and The International Knife Maker's Guild. He has served as a three time past president in the Conyers and Lithonia Lion's Clubs, and is a current member of the Ellijay Lion's Club.
