Mrs. Julia Ann (Keener) Mooney, age 68, of Talking Rock, GA passed on Thursday, April 2nd, 2020, at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA. She was born on July 4, 1951 to her parents Harvey and Mary (Mullins) Keener in Jasper, GA. She graduated from Pickens High School and earned her associate degree in nursing. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, and worked as an LPN at North Georgia Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mary (Mullins) Keener, husband, Ron Mooney, son, Chris Mooney, brothers, Harry Keener, Roy Keener, Harold Keener, Rodney Keener, sisters, Betty Raines and Wanda McTaggart.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at the Flat Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by son and daughters-in-law, Brian and Sheena Mooney, Talking Rock, GA, grandchildren, Ivy Mooney, Michael Mooney, Ian Mooney, Johnathan Mooney, sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Bill Cody, Jasper, Ga, Betty and Benny Weaver, Ellijay, GA, brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Keener, Talking Rock, GA, Leroy Keener and Lee Woodson, Raleigh, NC, Hoyt and Sharon Mooney, Canton, GA, aunt, Cleo Silvers of Jasper, GA, many nieces, nephew, cousins and friends also survive.
