Deborah Jean (Kalish) Queen, age 70 passed on Saturday October 31, 2020. She was born January 24, 1950 in Chicago, IL to her late parents Walter Leonard & Bernice May(Nalepa)Kalish. Deborah was a member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Deborah had a passion for helping others by working with the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She had an enormous heart and reached out to all who came to St. Vincent de Paul for assistance. She was also the Spiritual Advisor and Treasurer. Deborah began the tradition of the Angel Tree at Good Samaritan which provided Christmas gifts for hundreds of local children. Her memory will be a blessing.
Funeral service will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 at Good Samaritan Catholic Church at 2:00 pm with Father Carlos Vargas officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Logan Funeral Home.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years John Dewey Queen of the home in Ellijay, GA,sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey and Carla Queen, Eldersburg, MD, Mark and Sheena Queen,Marietta, GA, grand children Gabriel and Vivien Queen, sister Sharon (Richard) Schmidt,Glendale Heights, IL, brother Steven (Josephine) Kalish, Bartlett, IL several nieces and nephews also.
