Obituary of Virginia Louise Luttrell

Virginia Louise (Booth) Luttrell, age 87, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Virginia was a long-time resident of Ellijay, GA, before moving to Tennessee to live with her eldest son and his wife. She was born September 9, 1934, in Marietta, GA, to the late Odie Cecil and Maggie Florence (Thackston) Booth. Virginia was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Virginia was preceded in death by her late husband (Rev. Ernest Paul “Junior” Luttrell, Jr.) and daughter (Judith Rosetta Luttrell); her parents Maggie Florence (Thackston) and Odie Cecil Booth; and her eleven siblings. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at North East Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, GA, with Rev. Carroll Holbrooks officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the church cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Virginia is survived by son and daughter-in-law Ernest Leon Luttrell and Linda Puzey of Lenoir City, TN, daughter and son-in-law Virginia Dianne and Don Flowers of Doraville, GA, son Alton Ray Luttrell of Rome, GA, daughter Susan Paulette Luttrell of Morrow, GA, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. The family is receiving friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Logan Funeral Home in Ellijay and again on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at North East Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to Adoration Hospice at 717 New Highway 68, Sweetwater, TN, 37874, in memory of Virginia Luttrell.
