Obituary of Edythe Blanche Linne
Mrs. Edythe Blanche Davison Linne, age 98 of Ellijay, formerly of Decatur, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 20th, 2018 at Pruitt Healthcare Center in Blue Ridge, GA.
Mrs. Linne was born on September 23rd, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN, the fourth of five children to her late parents, Tracey Otto and Edith Blanche (Farmer) Davison. Edyth married Robert Joseph Linne on April 25th, 1942 and worked as a homemaker. The family moved to Peoria, IL and then to Chamblee, GA in 1967.
Edythe was active in volunteer work in hospitals and was a natural piano player. She liked playing Bridge and other card games; was an avid Braves baseball fan and loved to travel. She had a sweet and gentle spirit was kind, and a very caring person who was deeply loved by her family and will be gravely missed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 26th, 2018 at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. Interment will follow the service.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Beverly Linne of Panama City, FL (formerly Indianapolis, IN), Terry and Julie Linne of Peoria, IL, William Linne and Nancy New of Lilburn, GA, and one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Frank Gheesling of Ellijay, GA; five grandchildren and spouses, Scott Linne, Benjamin and Katie Linne, Amy and Jim Capes, Brian and Marci Linne, and Lisa and Eric Wahlmark. Nine great grandchildren also survive.
Edythe’s family requests that Memorials in her honor be made to a charity of the donor’s preference.
