James Ronald Womack,73, died Saturday, June22, at his home in Jonesboro, lndiana.
Ron was born May 28, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents were Roscoe and Doris Womack.
He attended school in Marietta, Georgia and graduated from Campbell High School class of
1964. Ron worked as a welder and in retail.
Ron married Rose Mary Lombard December 21, 1974.
Ron lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed southern cooking, southern gospel, a good cup of
coffee, fishing, and being a grandpa. Ron was an avid reader of western literature as well as digesting Scripture and theological material, on a daily basis. ln recent years, he was an active member of the Twin City Bible Baptist Church. He also served at rescue missions, prison
ministries, nursing homes, and as a Sunday School teacher throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rose Mary , Jonesboro, IN. His children: Rhoda (Bryan), Port Orange, FL; Jason (Leah), Perkins, OK; Jimmy (Andrea), Marion, IN; Renee (Scott) Lexington, KY; and Marie (Thad), Christi, TX; Ron's grandchildren Brittany, Austin, Connor, Jarad, Sara, Alex, Aaron, AJ, Elisha, Madelyn, Josiah, Ellie, Elise, Ethan, and Kingston. He is also survived by his sister Alison Palmer, Tallapoosa, GA and brother, Jim Womack, Dallas, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Roscoe Womack; great-grandson Caleb Ginter; and granddaughter Adriana Womack.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 10AM at Twin City Bible Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 29th at the Ellijay City Cemetery in Ellijay, GA. The viewing will take place at 12:00PM-1:45PM on Saturday.
